A JEWEL FOR THE STREETS.
“A must read for every hustler alive.”
Set in Virginia’s Seven Cities — “The 757,” historically known as Tidewater — POWER takes readers into the 1980s and ’90s New York–Virginia pipeline, an era when Norfolk earned the nickname “The 6th Borough” and the East Coast’s cash cow.
Life changes rapidly for Sedique, Malachi and Jeff. Three college students who, with the help of a local friend, set out to establish themselves in the drug game.
“Diamond” is a girl’s best friend, and he has a lot of them. With an overwhelming thirst for women and a newfound fortune, Sedique Faison is a true-to-the-game maintenance man.
His only problem is Richard “Rich” Broffman, a detective who goes above and beyond the call of duty only to find himself in the hands of his own fate.
With lessons in peer pressure, uncontrollable lust, and perseverance in the face of monopolized government injustice, POWER follows what happens when everything begins to fall apart.
“YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS COMING...”

ASK ABOUT MERCHE. “Moebetta” Randall, also known as Zoro, wrote POWER in 2000 and released it in 2004. The novel was written while he was serving a 210-month (17.5-year) sentence in federal prison.
He describes the work as a “Novior”—a blend of novel and memoir, inspired by real events in his life. His other writing includes SHOWTIME, a guide to nightclub and concert promotion.
The story behind the book is a story of creativity, resilience, and a voice determined to be heard.
